Micah Richards held the fan against a door in the viral clip
Former Manchester United hard man Roy Keane was reportedly headbutted by a fan while working as a pundit at the Emirates Stadium.
In viral social media footage, a clip originating from an unknown Snapchat account showed the moments following the alleged violent incident, as pal Micah Richards held the male against a door, restraining him.
Keane can also be seen angrily remonstrating with the fan while moving into the camera frame as a female spectator as well as male member of staff watch from close proximity.
The Mail reports it all took place shortly before the end of Arsenal's 3-1 victory over United.
The clip from a foyer inside the ground was shared on social media platform X, and it has now emerged Keane was reportedly hit on the chest and chin, but the fan was stopped from inflicting serious damage as Richards stepped in.
In a statement to Daily Star Sport, a Sky Sports spokesperson said: “We understand the police are investigating an alleged assault by a member of the public immediately preceding the footage circulating on social media. In the footage seen, Micah Richards was acting to diffuse a situation.”

Roy Keane leans in to make his thoughts heard
In the footage, Richards can be seen with his hands on the man, who looks over to Keane - with words said by the trio inaudible as noise bounces around the room.
After the incident, Keane and Richards remained professional as they conducted their work for Sky Sports pitchside following the full-time whistle around 10 minutes later.

Tensions were high in north London throughout the game as United took the lead through Marcus Rashford but were pegged back by Martin Odegaard a minute later.
Youngster Alejandro Garnacho thought he had won it for the Red Devils before being ruled offside by VAR, with Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus securing all three points for Mikel Arteta's men.

Richards and Keane have provided one of the most loved punditry duos in recent seasons on Sky Sports despite their opposing allegiances.
The former right-back is known for not taking himself too seriously and often laughing during coverage, with Keane lightening up while in his presence.
