Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat is reportedly free to leave on loan this season, but the Red Devils will face competition from Italian giants Napoli for his signature.
The midfielder has been linked with a range of clubs this summer, but Manchester United have been credited with a long-standing interest in the 26-year-old, who Erik ten Hag has worked with previously.
Initially thought to cost around £30m this summer, Italian outlet Correire dello Sport claim that current side Fiorentina would be willing to accept just £21m for the midfielder, less than his transfermarkt value of £26m.
Now, he could depart for even less, with reports from Italy suggesting that a loan move could even be possible, though the Moroccan would have to sign a new contract with La Viola first with his current deal set to expire in 2024 as things stand.
It is claimed that 'Fiorentina have softened their stance as they look to get some sort of deal over the line' for the midfielder, who has missed the opening two games and continues to train away from the rest of the squad.
With Manchester United known to be short on funds this summer as a result of financial fair play restrictions, a loan move could well be perfect for Ten Hag's side, who are set to be without Mason Mount for several weeks through injury and have already seen Fred leave this summer.
However, Marca add that Napoli are also among the interested parties after losing out on Gabri Veiga to Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli, which could complicate any deal in the final days of the transfer window.
Amrabat has also been linked with Liverpool, but it is thought that he would prefer to move to Old Trafford if given the choice.
