Lionel Messi is not only arguably the greatest football player of all time but according to one fan, he ranks as the best in folding clothes too.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or is considered by many to be the greatest to ever play the sport given his remarkable achievements at both club and international level.

Despite leaving Europe after 19 years spent largely with Barcelona and his last two years with Paris Saint-Germain, that hasn't stopped Messi shocking viewers with his brilliance or even adding to his already-filled trophy cabinet.

After leading Inter Miami to the Leagues Cup final against Nashville SC, the Argentine netted in the 1-1 draw during normal time before scoring a penalty in the thrilling 10-9 penalty shootout win that secured the 44th trophy of his career.

The 36-year-old is officially the most decorated footballer of all-time after surpassing Dani Alves' 43 trophies with the Leagues Cup added to his resume.

The Argentine icon can claim greatness in another discipline according to a clip of Messi expertly folding an Inter Miami jersey that has fans labelling him the: "GOAT of laundry".

One fan wrote: "The clothes folding was enough but to throw in the no look? The man makes laundry a spectator sport" as another claimed: "I can’t lie, Messi might be in the debate for the greatest clothes folder of all time."

A third came up with a creative reason for watching hours of football as they commented: "Gonna tell my girl the reason I’m watching football 4 hours a day is to learn to fold clothes better and be a good boyfriend."

Jorge Mas, who co-owns Inter Miami with David Beckham, has spoken out previously on the efforts the pair put in to bring Messi to Miami during an interview with French publication El Pais.

Mas said plans to recruit the Argentine began in 2019 and claimed Messi's legacy after football could be on pair with the likes of Beckham and NBA icon Michael Jordan.

On the deal to sign the Barcelona legend, Beckham said: "There were many conversations with Jorge (Messi's father). David talked to Leo, only about football issues, because he was a player.

"We spoke in Barcelona, Miami, Rosario, Doha... I spent the whole World Cup in Qatar, watching Argentina."
