Luis Rubiales kissed Jenni Hermoso on the lips after the Women's World Cup final

Football fans have been left disgusted by Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales, after he was spotted planting a kiss on the lips of Jenni Hermoso.

Hermoso was one of the Spanish stars who shocked the world to win the World Cup - despite a turbulent atmosphere in the camp. However, as Hermoso fulfilled her childhood dream, fans slammed Rubiales, who gave the striker a big smooch.

"That's completely inappropriate and why that federation is a f***ing s*** show. I feel so bad for the Spain players and putting up with this," one fan fumed. While a second added: "I was so weirded out watching this. This is very very questionable and disgusting behaviour!"

"Gross. And sadly, exactly the type of behaviour we have come to expect from the leadership of the Spanish Federation towards these players," a third fumed.

And a fourth said: "Did the grab, lift and kiss move with every single player. Creepy."

While another added: "How is this justified? Do we need any more reasons to understand how and why Spain winning the title is gonna do more harm than good?"

Luis Rubiales was already under fire at the Women's World Cup

Speaking after the incident, Hermoso admitted: "Eh...yeah, I did not enjoy that."

Spain had overcome turmoil to reach the final of the World Cup, with, last September, 15 players complaining to the Spanish federation about the atmosphere that was created at the camp by boss Jorge Vilda.

Rubiales was already under fire from some sections of the Spanish support - when he publicly backed the divisive coach.
