Willian in Saudi talks just two weeks after re-joining Fulham - proving 'no one is safe'

Willian is reportedly in talks with Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab - despite re-signing with Fulham just over two weeks ago.

It was announced on July 17 that the Brazilian winger, 34, had put pen to paper on a new one-year deal after his previous one had run out at the end of last season.

He'd been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest but settled on staying put in west London. Or at least it seemed he had, as he could now be pulling a U-turn.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Al-Shabab have made a bid for him as they want to take him to the Middle East. And Willian is said to be speaking to them about the proposal.

Football fans were stunned by the news, with one arguing: "No one is safe." A second commented: "What tf is wrong with these guys... can't allow players breath."

A third even questioned: "How is this legal?" While a fourth joked: "They will be approaching you next Fab, holding midfielder."

And Fulham supporters were understandably fuming given Al-Hilal have been pushing to sign star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic and Al-Ahli twice tried taking their manager Marco Silva.

One fumed: "Ahhhhh f*** off Saudi Arabia man leave us alone I'm sick of this s***." One tweeted: "In all seriousness, when do we put a complaint in to FIFA because we're definitely being targeted way more than other clubs of a similar level."

"I've tried to keep quite level headed throughout the Saudi stuff this summer but if players are being relentlessly pursued with ludicrous money 10 days after signing a new contract I think it's time for the PL to step in to defend the interests of their clubs," added another.
