Allan Saint-Maximin celebrates with his teammates following his 2020 FA Cup winner against Oxford United
Allan Saint-Maximin looks set to depart Newcastle United after spending five years on Tyneside.
The mercurial French winger, who arrived at St. James' Park back in 2019 from Nice, is edging closer to completing his move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli, having already said his goodbyes to the Magpies and their fans on social media.
Despite having fallen out of favour with Eddie Howe, Saint-Maximin was one of Steve Bruce's most vital players during his Newcastle tenure. And arguably one of his most memorable moments in a black and white shirt was when he netted an extra-time winner against Oxford United that led to a fan producing a 'penis helicopter' celebration in the stands.
After leading 2-0 for most of the game, Newcastle let their two goal advantage slip, conceding twice late on to Oxford, sending the game to extra-time. However, in extra-time, the game was settled by Saint-Maximin, who produced a stunning effort, side stepping defenders before unfurling a sublime strike from the edge of the box, winning Newcastle the game.
Cue wild scenes amongst the travelling Newcastle away support. And so good was Saint-Maximin's goal, it prompted the Toon supporter to produce the now infamous 'penis helicopter' celebration.

And his goal resulted in a Newcastle supporter getting his penis out to celebrate the late winner
Caught on camera by the BBC, the fan windmilled his penis around as Saint-Maximin and other Newcastle players celebrated the Frenchman's winner. The fan in question was even rumoured to have been handed a lifetime ban from football, although it soon emerged shortly after the FA Cup encounter that these claims were untrue.
Clearly, it was a celebration Saint-Maximin enjoyed too. Following the game against Oxford, he took to Twitter to post the infamous blinking white guy meme, writing: "Me after seeing the helicopter celebration."
And he also decided to name the celebration the "penicopter". After helping the Magpies to a 4-2 win over Leicester City back during the 2021/22 COVID-19 hit season, Saint-Maximin tweeted: "F****** GET IN LADS. Penicopter is probably flying high."

Saint-Maximin looks set to be heading over to Saudi Arabia to join Al Ahli
In joining Al-Ahli, Saint-Maximin will link up with former Premier League stars Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy and Roberto Firmino in Saudi Arabia.
On his day, the 26-year-old was unplayable. Last term against Manchester City, Saint-Maximin tore Kyle Walker ragged with Newcastle and Man City playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw at St. James'. However, niggling injuries and inconsistent form saw the winger fall out of favour with Eddie Howe. Newcastle have just signed Harvey Barnes too as a direct swap for Saint-Maximin.
