Chelsea reject lowball Fulham offer Callum Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea have, on Thursday, knocked back an opening proposal from Premier League rivals Fulham, for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The name of wide-man Hudson-Odoi has, of course, taken its place front and centre in the media chatter at Craven Cottage over the course of the last week.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the decision of boss Marco Silva to stay put was set to culminate in Fulham's pursuit of the 22-year-old being ramped up.

Negotiations between the respective boards in west London, in turn, were kicked into gear.

And, as alluded to above, this evening, an opening offer for Hudson-Odoi's signature has been forthcoming.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the powers that be at Craven Cottage have tabled a £4 million proposal to bring CHO to the club.

Their counterparts at Chelsea, however, were left understandably unimpressed by this offering, informing their capital rivals that an £8 million price-tag has been slapped on the head of the Cobham academy graduate.

Talks, in turn, will continue between the two clubs over the coming days, with Fulham, for their part, 'confident' that a deal will ultimately be struck.
