Man Utd fans joke 'Pep's crying' as Julia Roberts breaks Guardiola's heart AGAIN by posing with Erik ten Hag on tour

MANCHESTER UNITED fans have joked that "Pep's crying" after Julia Roberts broke Guardiola's heart again.

It appeared that the Manchester City manager's off-off "romance" with the actress was finally ON as she posted her congratulations seven years leaving him heartbroken.

The Hollywood legend, one of Guardiola's three idols, praised Manchester City's Treble-clinching Champions League glory in June - after leaving him distraught by visiting Old Trafford rather than the Etihad in 2016.

The Pretty Woman star gave Guardiola a Ticket to Paradise after his side beat Inter Milan in the Instanbul final, following their Premier League and FA Cup triumphs.

She wrote on Instagram: "Congratulations @pepteam for leading your team to be UCL champions. #pep #soccermom."

However, just when he and the Cityzens though they were catching her eye, the 55-year-old delivered another sucker-punch.

Rivals United are currently in America on tour and beat Premier League rivals Arsenal 2-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Roberts was not only in attendance for the game, but she later posed with Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, England star Marcus Rashford and a host of other players for a snap afterwards.

And just to rub further salt in Guardiola's wounds, she then held up a United shirt with her name on the back alongside boss Erik ten Hag - and fans were instantly ready to troll.

"Someone needs to check up on Pep," said one response.

Another United fan wrote: "Pep won a treble and Julia Roberts still wants us."

"This is the only thing we have over City currently," declared a fellow Red Devil.

Another tweeted "someone check on Pep" as another said: "Pep is crying now."

"Pep logout of Twitter immediately," read another tweet while a fellow fan claimed "Pep is jealous".

Guardiola - happily married to Cristina Serra - joked about his feelings for the Notting Hilla actress following a 7-0 win over RB Leipzig in March.

Roberts, having already starred in Ocean's Eleven, suddenly learnt she was also in the Spaniard's Top Three.

And Guardiola was devastated when he found she was sloping off with the enemy seven years ago - by heading for fierce rivals United.

He said: "I am a failure in the Champions League. If I win the Champions League three times in a row I will be a failure.

"I have three idols in my life. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Julia Roberts.

"Julia Roberts years ago came to Manchester - not in the 90s when Sir Alex (Ferguson) was winning titles and titles and titles.

"She came in the period where we were better than United, in these four or five years, right?

"And she went to visit Man United. She didn't come to see us. That's why even if I win the Champions League it will not compare for the fact that Julia Roberts came to Manchester and didn't come to see us.

"Even if I win the Champions League it will not compare to this disappointment I had."
