Arsenal have been one of the most active Premier League clubs so far in the summer window.
Kai Havertz has already joined in a £65m move from Chelsea, while the club is expected to complete deals for West Ham captain Declan Rice and Ajax defender Jurrien Timber in the coming days.
Rice and Timber will undergo medicals with the north London club on Friday and are set to join for a combined fee of around £140m, taking Arsenal's spending past the £200m mark.
And there could be further new arrivals at the Emirates as Arteta and sporting director Edu Gaspar look to ensure last season's title challenge was not just a one-off.
Arsenal have also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, as have Manchester United and Newcastle.
But a move for Diaby could depend on Leverkusen signing a replacement for the Frenchman before the window closes.
According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid are considering loaning Turkish wonderkid Arda Guler to Leverkusen.
The 18-year-old, dubbed the 'Turkish Lionel Messi', has completed a move to Madrid after the Spanish giants paid a €17.5m (£15m) release clause in his contract at Fenerbahce.
Spanish outlet AS claim Guler will train with Madrid in pre-season, with manager Ancelotti then deciding whether to keep him or send him out on loan.
Leverkusen, who are managed by former Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso, were the first club to register their interest in taking Guler on loan.
Should he arrive at the BayArena, it could allow Leverkusen to consider selling France international Diaby, who is valued at £50m.
Since joining Leverkusen from PSG in 2019, he has gone on to score 49 goals in 172 appearances for the club.
A former teammate of Havertz at Leverkusen, Diaby could be keen to reunite with the German at the Emirates this summer. Watch this space.
