Leeds fans have joked they understand why Rodrigo struggled to play past 60 minutes this season

Leeds fans have joked 'no wonder he only lasts 60 minutes' after Rodrigo was snapped with an Elf Bar.

Rodrigo had jetted off to Ibiza after Leeds United were relegated from the Premier League on the final day of the season. The Peacocks went out with a whimper as Tottenham Hotspur put them to the sword at Elland Road.

And the Spaniard shared a snap from the Ushuaia Club - a VIP club on the small island. Rodrigo wrapped his arm around his stunning girlfriend Maria Martinez - but fans were quick to notice the Elf Bar in his right hand.

"Rodrigo on the elf bars hahahaha some boy," one fan joked. And another responded: "Probs explains why he can’t run for more than 60 minutes..."

"Just getting his body ready for the Championship," a third joked. However, the Elf Bar was then seen again when Maria uploaded a separate snap of herself at the club.

This time, it was Maria holding the red vape - putting doubt on the fact Rodrigo actually owned the Elf Bar. Rodrigo was a key part in Leeds' run-in - and he played the full 90 for the final two games as well as 87 minutes the week beforehand.

Rodrigo looks set to leave Leeds this summer, with the Spaniard having a £3million release clause in his contract - and both Everton and Sevilla are reportedly interested in his services.

According to local media in Sevilla, Rodrigo has agreed personal terms with Sevilla - and he will join them on 1 July. Interestingly, Sevilla's new director of football, Victor Orta, was the man who put the release clause in Rodrigo's contract when he worked at Leeds.
