Gemma Owen stole the show at Royal Ascot as she showcased her passion for horse racing alongside her famous footballing father Michael.

The model, an equine fanatic, posed on two days of the world famous festival in separate outfits - one of which was a flowery dress which had fans clapping in delight over Instagram.

Her post for day one of the event brought in more than 75,000 likes, with Gemma holding a glass of bubbly while sat in the Royal Enclosure.

One comment said: "Oh wow absolutely stunning." A second added: "Most beautiful girl inside and out! Hope you been having the most incredible time."

A third posted: "Absolutely beautiful." A fourth agreed: "You look absolutely stunning." A fifth concluded: "Wow my jaw dropped to the ground."

Gemma posed with glowing mum Louise in a third snap, but dad Michael had to make do with his own post.

The former England and Liverpool striker posed with his family in snaps posted on the weekend after the festival - one of which included him laughing with his son.

The Owen family have a stables at their house thanks to their love for horses, with Michael event attempting to become a jockey after retirement.

The family were recently hit by the tragedy of a staff member passing away while working at their Manor House Stables in Cheshire.

Jessica Whalley suffered a fatal cardiac at the age of just 25, Michael said at the time: "Having to come down and tell 40 or her friends what's happened and things like that, what can you say? It was the worst day of my life."

Earlier this month, Gemma teased that she could be making a TV return after finding fame on Love Island season eight last year.

When asked if there was a family programme in the pipelines, she told the Daily Star: "I mean, at the moment, I'm not sure. I think my family, like my brothers and sisters are still quite young.

"So yeah, never say never, but I think at the moment it would be a bit unfair to put my younger sister in that position in the spotlight."
