It is of course common knowledge that England international Mount has long been identified by Erik ten Hag and co. as the missing piece of the midfield puzzle at Old Trafford.
Ahead of the expiration of his contract at Stamford Bridge in 12 months' time, talks, in turn, have long been kicked into gear between the respective boards at United and Chelsea.
Despite Mount himself being keen on the prospect of a move to Manchester, however, to this point, no deal has been struck.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday night is anything to go by, then the powers that be at Chelsea appear to remain unwavering in their demands.
As confirmed by both Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, United's 3rd bid for Mount, tabled earlier today, has been rejected.
The offer in question consisted of a base fee of £50 million, followed by a further £5 million in bonuses.
Themselves eager to get a deal done, however, the transfer team in west London have proposed a face-to-face meeting, in one final attempt to push an agreement over the line.
At this summit, Chelsea intend to table a counter-proposal to Man United, outlining their take-it-or-leave-it demands of £58 million, plus add-ons of £7 million.
