Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate to bring in at least two midfielders this summer with the club acting quickly to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton in a deal worth an initial £35m.

The Reds also identified 22-year-old Nice star Thuram, the son of France legend Lilian, as a top target and Football Transfers had been reporting that the 22-year-old has told Nice he wants to move to Anfield and has already verbally agreed personal terms.

The same report adds that Nice will likely sell below the initial £51m asking price but want suitors such as Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain to arrive at the negotiating table to drum up the sale price.

However, as per The Athletic, Liverpool have dismissed speculation that they have already agreed personal terms with the player's representatives.
