Aston Villa closing on deal for Liverpool midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain

Aston Villa are closing on a deal for departing Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The former England comes off contract at the end of the month.

TalkSPORT says a move to Villa is now being discussed and an announcement is soon to be made.

Oxlade-Chamberlain made almost 150 appearances during this time at Liverpool, scoring 18 goals from midfield in that time.

Villa announced the Bosman transfer of Youri Tielemans from Leicester City yesterday.
