Chelsea table major bid for AC Milan keeper Maignan

Chelsea are set to make a significant signing to shore up their goalkeeping department.
The Stamford Bridge club want a new no.1 after both Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy failed to impress this term.
Per La Repubblica, Chelsea have put in a £51.8 million bid for AC Milan star Mike Maignan.
The Frenchman is seen as one of the best goalkeepers in the world at present.
Maignan may be tempted by a move to the Premier League, given the higher wages on offer.
However, Milan will be in the Champions League next season, while Chelsea have no European football to offer.
