The Sweden captain has a year to run on his current deal, which includes a 12 month option..
The Sun says Ten Hag wants to see Lindelof's contract extended this summer.
The defender has not been a regular for Ten Hag, but he views the defender as a valuable squad player.
For his part, Lindelof has admitted frustration at a lack of minutes this season.
