BOEHLED OVER Chelsea owner Todd Boehly set to make huge change after disastrous first season with right-hand man at risk

TODD BOEHLY'S first season as co-owner of Chelsea has not gone according to plan.

In an attempt to solve the crisis, the American businessman is reportedly preparing for a Stamford Bridge shake up.

Tom Glick was appointed president of business last year, but there are now reportedly question marks over his role

He is believed to be on the verge of hiring a new chief executive.

Boehly is currently in the final round of talks with Clearlake Capital operating executive Chris Jurasek, according to The Times.

Jurasek is also chief executive of another business funded by Clearlake, the private equity firm who fronted the takeover at Chelsea.

It's claimed he will take over the commercial running of the club.

But The Times say the imminent appointment of Jurasek raises doubts over president of business Tom Glick's role.

Former Manchester City chief commercial officer Glick was only recruited by Boehly last summer to help the club commercially.

According to The Times, a restructure of the club's management will see Glick report to Jurasek.

As well as his time with City, Glick also previously worked on the Football League Board, the FA Council, the Professional Game Board, and was President of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers.

In a torrid first campaign in charge of Chelsea, Boehly's Blues are currently 11th in the Premier League table with just four games left to play.

Last weekend's win at Bournemouth was even met with chants of "we are staying up" from the Chelsea faithful.

That's despite over £600million of investment in new signings.

The Blues are also yet to confirm a new permanent manager, with Frank Lampard remaining in caretaker charge.

Boehly hired Graham Potter after sacking Thomas Tuchel in September, but the ex-Brighton boss lasted just a matter of months in the role.

And Boehly will be hoping things improve next season, with former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino expected to take charge at the end of the campaign.
