Ruben Dias criticised picture of him before realising it was drawn by a child in hilarious video

A video has emerged of Manchester City defender Ruben Dias reacting to illustrations of his teammates by children of a local primary school.

Students from Cravenwood Primary Academy were tasked to draw a Manchester City player each as part of a City in the Community scheme with the illustrations used as part of City's social media coverage of their Premier League match against West Ham United on Wednesday evening.

A drawing of Bernardo Silva was included in the starting lineup graphic while pictures of goalscorers Nathan Aké, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden were tweeted in the goal announcements.

As part of the project, City players had to try and find the drawing of them on a table with the video being posted on the club's Twitter page.

Since, a clip from the video has emerged of Dias jokingly complaining about his drawing having grey skin before being reminded that it was drawn by a child, prompting the Portugal international to praise the illustration.

"Why is my skin grey?," the 25-year-old asked before being told, "Go easy children have done this" by the videographer to which the defender replied: "Actually, now that I look again, it actually looks beautiful."

The defender went on to play the full 90 minutes of City's 3-0 win over West Ham which saw Pep Guardiola's men return to the top of the Premier League table after Arsenal had retaken their place at the summit on Tuesday following a 3-1 home win over Chelsea.

It also saw Haaland beat the record for most goals in a Premier League season with his 35th in the top flight this term.

With a one-point lead and a game in hand on the Gunners, the title is in City's hands with the Manchester outfit looking set to win a third consecutive league title.

A major contributing factor to City's form of late has been the performances of Dias with the Portuguese playing every minute of Guardiola's side's last 11 Premier League matches as well as in eight of their 10 Champions League matches this term with City eyeing a famous treble.

City have five league games remaining as well as the FA Cup final against city rivals Manchester United and a Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, meaning that there could still be nine matches left for the club to play before the end of the season.
