Tottenham Hotspur star Hugo Lloris has, on Saturday evening, revealed his disappointment with the treatment of teammate Davinson Sanchez on the part of the club’s supporters.
Spurs, of course, were back in action earlier today.
Amid an ongoing pursuit of a top-4 berth, the Lilywhites welcomed relegation-battling Bournemouth to north London, for a Premier League clash.
When all was said and done at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, however, the hosts’ concerning inconsistencies, once more, reared their ugly head.
Despite taking the lead inside the opening quarter of an hour courtesy of Son Heung-min, Cristian Stellini’s troops were ultimately condemned to the wrong side of a 3-2 result, after Dominic Solanke bagged a crucial Bournemouth winner a full five minutes into injury time.

Across what proved another hugely disappointing afternoon’s work for their side, in turn, it should come as little surprise to hear that the Tottenham faithful in attendance on Saturday made crystal clear their frustrations with a number of the club’s stars.
More widely targeted than any other by some way, though, was Davinson Sanchez.
On a day to forget for Spurs’ struggling defender, Sanchez was introduced late in the first-half, before being hooked early in the 2nd, having played a direct role in both Bournemouth’s first and second goals.
His struggles, meanwhile, were very much recognised by Spurs’ livid fanbase, who rained down a chorus of jeers and boos at the Colombian international.
And, as alluded to above, one individual who feels as though such treatment proved altogether over the top comes in the form of the Lilywhites’ captain.
Speaking to the media post-match, Hugo Lloris jumped to the defence of his under-fire teammate, criticizing Tottenham’s fans for the kind of behaviour ‘I’ve never seen in my career’:
Lloris on Spurs fans booing Davinson Sanchez: “I feel really bad for him. I’ve never seen this in my career. It started when he came on the pitch. He’s been fighting for Spurs for many many years now”, told BeIN ⚪️ #THFC
