Lionel Messi appears to be doing more and more campaigns away from the pitch, but the World Cup winner's latest work away from football has left some fans baffled

Lionel Messi has always been known as ‘the Little Magician’ - well, some fans believe Louis Vuitton have made him look like, well, just a “magician”.

The Argentine and Cristiano Ronaldo were both front and centre of an ice-cool photo shoot for the fashion goliaths just before the World Cup last year. However, for their latest shoot, it appears the French giants have opted for Messi.

For their latest campaign, Messi was snapped sat back on a bench with his feet up on a suitcase. However, after taking a second and third glance at the photo, the football world were all drawn to the same thing - his legs.

Messi is usually head and shoulders above his teammates in footballing terms, but, from a physical point of view, he very rarely is. Standing at a modest 5’ 7”, the Barcelona legend is very rarely amongst the taller players on the field.

However, various football fans believed his legs looked significantly taller than usual in his photoshoot. “What the hell kind of photoshopped nonsense is this? Messi’s legs are never that long. He’s 5’6 not 6’2,” one bemused fan wrote on social media.

“Aye, what's with the elongated legs,” another asked. “Lol. When did Messi turn into Peter Crouch,” laughed one other supporter in what may be the only comparison between Messi and the former England international.

However, one almost concerned sounding fan asked, “whose legs” before a sixth supporter wrote, “they made him look 6’3.” Long legs or not, Messi is held in very high regard for Messi. He was the face of their ‘Horizon’s Never End’ campaign.

“Emblematic of the Maison's heritage, the Louis Vuitton Horizon line offers unprecedented perspectives and infinite freedom.” With his contract at PSG set to expire at the end of the season, Messi may well need that very suitcase in the summer.
