Arsenal star Reiss Nelson is being taken to court after the forward's dog allegedly attacked a masseur in his home.
Massage therapist Saeid Motaali was allegedly attacked by the pet dog at Nelson's north London home back in December 2020. It is claimed that he was left injured by the pooch called Tiago as a result of the incident.
The Crown Prosecution Service have told Daily Star Sport that Nelson is due to stand trial at Harrow Crown Court on September 4.
The 23-year-old has been charged with being in charge of a dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control, contrary to section 3(1) and (4) of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
According to the Daily Mail, Nelson denied the charge at a previous court hearing in October and has since been granted unconditional bail. It is unknown what breed of dog Tiago is.
Nelson has previously shared snaps on social media of a French bulldog-style animal but it is not clear whether this dog is the one which attacked the massage therapist.

Nelson is currently out of contract at the Emirates Stadium at the end of this season, having first joined the Gunners' Academy as a schoolboy in 2007.
He has since gone on to make 59 appearances for the club after making his first team debut aged 17 in September 2017, scoring seven goals and providing the same number of assists.
Those include his 11 appearances across all competitions this season, with the forward tallying three goals and two assists in just four Premier League matches.

Nelson grabbed two goals and an assist in a comfortable victory over Nottingham Forest back in October before coming off the bench to assist and score a dramatic 97th minute winner against Bournemouth last month.
Those goals have helped see Mikel Arteta's side build an eight point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League with nine matches remaining.
Both Arsenal and Nelson's representatives have been contacted by Daily Star Sport for comment.
