Manchester United want to take advantage of Southampton's possible relegation from the Premier League by snapping up their star midfielder James Ward-Prowse in the summer.
According to Football Insider, United boss Erik ten Hag is desperate to bolster his midfield options and 28-year-old Ward-Prowse is a target.
However, they could face competition from Aston Villa and Newcastle.
