Jesse Marsch has broken his silence on his Leeds sacking
Jesse Marsch has spoken out for the first time since he was sacked as Leeds manager nearly two months ago.
The American took over from the much-loved Marcelo Bielsa in February 2022 with the team teetering on the edge of the relegation zone.
He successfully steered them clear of the drop, playing some pretty eye-catching football at times too, but after failing to avoid a second-successive relegation scrap, he was relieved of his duties, and replaced by Javi Gracia.
Taking to Twitter, Marsch finally broke his silence on the sacking, writing: "I've taken some time out for myself over the last couple of months and it's been a good chance to reflect on aspects of life while in Leeds.
"I'm very proud of our achievements like staying up in 21/22 and when I look back on my time at Leeds, I'll think of that with great pride.
I'm also grateful to have worked with a great group of players and staff and to have met some fantastic people in Yorkshire. I'm taking some time to consider the right next step but until then, I'll be enjoying time with family & friends."

One Twitter user who replied to Marsch insisted he was treated "disgustingly" by Leeds and hilariously described him as "Ted Lasso brought to life".
"Absolutely disgusting the way they treated you Jesse! You brought Ted Lasso to life with your portrayal as a Premier league manager," they wrote.
Marsch previously managed RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg, having had success across the pond with New York Red Bulls and Montreal Impact.
