Man Utd's move for Victor Osimhen could be doomed with reports coming out of France suggesting that PSG are planning to hijack their deal. The French giants are willing to throw in Mauro Icardi and Leandro Paredes plus cash in order to acquire the services of the Napoli forward.
This is according to RMC Sport, who claim that Osimhen is PSG’s number one target for the summer. The Nigerian international has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs with Man Utd among those watching him closely.
United are in need of a physical presence in the final third with Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst struggling to find his shooting boots since joining the side in January. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that they are on the lookout for such a player in the summer and that Harry Kane and Osimhen are among their top priorities to fill the gap.
"From what I understand, Man United's priority will be to sign an important striker in the summer, of course, but also a physical striker. So, a striker that can also help on the physical point of view,” tweeted Romano.

"This could be the idea and so I would keep an eye on many targets. We know the situation of Harry Kane, but Tottenham will fight to keep him, offering him a new contract - but he's really appreciated at Man United. And Victor Osimhen, these two strikers are the perfect kind of striker for Man United."
Osimhen recently admitted that playing in England is an ‘ambition of all players’ but assured fans that he is solely focused on leading Napoli to Serie A triumph this season. He told Corriere della Sera: "I think it is an ambition of all players [to play in England]. And who knows, one day.
"Right now, I assure you, it doesn't even cross my mind. It would distract me from a beautiful season. [I'm thinking of] Only Napoli."
Shedding further light on his future, he told Sport1: "I don't know what the future holds. I think I'm on the right track. At the end of the season, I will sit down with my agents and discuss everything. I will also be in talks with the club. I am incredibly grateful to Naples. We will find a good solution together."
The Red Devils are also set to face stiff competition from Chelsea, who hold Osimhen in the highest regard.
