De Gea weighs in on Man Utd future
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has reiterated his love for Man Utd despite rejecting an extension offer from the club. In an interview with Sky Sports, De Gea insisted he is happy at Man Utd, but refused to commit to a new deal.
The goalkeeper's contract is expiring at the end of the season, and Man Utd have asked the 32-year-old to take a pay cut in order to stay at the club.
He is currently the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world, pulling in £375,000 per week. Although he is willing to see his salary reduced, De Gea deemed the club's first proposal earlier this week insufficient, according to The Athletic.
Veteran centre-back to stay in Milan
35-year-old centre-back Francesco Acerbi has made it known that he wants to stay at Inter after joining the club on loan this summer, according to Nicolo Schira. However, Inter are reluctant to meet Lazio's asking price of €4 million (£2.5m/$4.4m.)
The club might need centre-back reinforcement this summer after allowing Milan Skriniar to sign with PSG for next year.
Spurs want to make Lenglet their first summer signing
Tottenham are nearing an agreement with Barcelona to make the signing of centre-back Clement Lenglet permanent. Barca have set a €14 million (£12.3m/$15.3m) asking price for the 27-year-old, according to Sport.
Lenglet is one of a handful of players the club are trying to get rid of in order to set up a big summer of signings and new contracts.
Arsenal to beat Barca to Brazilian teenage sensation
Arsenal are now leading the race to sign Brazilian teenage forward Vitor Roque, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Although the striker has been interested in a move to Barcelona, Arsenal Sporting Director Edu Gaspar has laid the groundwork with Athletico Panaraense to bring Brazil's next up-and-coming talent to North London. Roque's parents are also said to be keen for their son to play in the Premier League.
Martino says no to Boca!
Former Mexico manager Tata Martino has turned down the opportunity to manage Boca Juniors, according to Gaston Edul. He cited family priorities as the reason.
Boca are struggling in the Argentine first division this year, sitting in 14th after eight fixtures. They sacked Hugo Ibarra two days ago, just a few months after leading the Buenos Aires side to a league title.
Di Maria wants to stay at Juve
Angel Di Maria and Juventus are discussing a new deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 35-year-old reportedly has interest from MLS and Turkey, but wants to stay on at Juventus. Di Maria joined the Italian giants this year after a successful seven-year spell at PSG.
