PSG's injury situation is ever-evolving.

While Kylian Mbappe has returned to full fitness after sustaining an injury in early February, Neymar has suffered another ankle problem. Meanwhile, Presnel Kimpembe is out for up to a year with an Achilles tear that required surgery. Sergio Ramos is now also an injury doubt after leaving training earlier in the week.

Their troubles are further compounded by full-back Achraf Hakimi being charged and questioned following a rape allegation.

Manager Christophe Galtier has some other knocks to contend with, with Renato Sanches sidelined with a hamstring injury.

What's the Neymar update?

The Brazilian sustained a nasty ankle sprain against Lille in early February and was stretchered off. Galtier confirmed that the injury will rule Neymar out for some time, but noted that he has avoided a serious fracture. It was subsequently revealed that the Brazilian needed ankle surgery, and he underwent a successful procedure on March 10.

Expected return: Neymar is out for the season. However, his surgeon revealed that the operation was a success, and indicated that the PSG star should be back to his normal level by the start of next campaign.

Why has Renato Sanches been out?

One injury ends, and then another one starts for the struggling centre-midfielder. Sanches picked up what the club described as a "thigh contusion" in a late December friendly, and steadily worked himself back to full fitness.

He managed an hour against Montpellier on February 1, and was handed a start in the next match against Toulouse. However, he only lasted 11 minutes in the game and was in tears when he left the pitch, clutching the same thigh that he'd struggled with for nearly a month.

Expected return: There's no word on the severity of Sanches' latest knock, but the club confirmed that the centre-midfielder has a hamstring problem.

Is Achraf Hakimi allowed to return to the pitch?

Hakimi was accused of sexually assaulting a woman on February 25 in his Paris home. The allegations came to light the day after, and the player was questioned and charged with rape on March 2.

He started against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on March 8, but hasn't appeared since then, with PSG citing a hamstring injury as the reason for his absence.

Expected return: There is no further word on Hakimi's status for the coming weeks. The investigation is still ongoing, and although the club told The Athletic that they are supporting their right-back, he is not in the squad for PSG's contest with Rennes this weekend.

How long will Presnel Kimpembe be out for?

Presnel Kimpembe tore his Achilles while tracking back against Marseille. It was a cruel turn of events for the centre-back, who'd just returned from a long term muscle injury.

He underwent surgery in early March, and could be out for up to a year.

Expected return: The centre-back faces a long spell on the sidelines, and is expected to be out for at least some of next season.

What is Sergio Ramos' injury?

The veteran centre-back has found form this season after being injury-stricken in his first campaign in Paris.

But fitness issues have once again cropped up, with the Spaniard leaving PSG training on March 16 due to an unknown injury, according to PSG insider Hadrien Grenier. His absence leaves the Parisians with only one fit senior central defender.

Expected return: PSG haven't provided an update on Ramos' fitness yet. Once they do, a timeline should be available.
