GERARD Pique has broken his silence over ex-wife Shakira's scathing diss track.
The Colombian popstar's hit song has multiple references to Pique, from whom she split in June after 11 years together.
Shakira debuted her diss track on The Tonight Show
In the brutal new song, Shakira takes more swipes at Pique's new girlfriend Clara Chia, who he was rumoured to have been started dating before they split.
Shakira makes it crystal clear she is referring to Clara with the lyrics: "I'm worth two 22's. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio."
She belted out the Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 diss track in a racy leather outfit for the first time, on The Tonight Show on Saturday.
Pique was asked on Barcelona's RAC1 radio station if he had heard the song.
"Yes, obviously. I don't want to talk about it," he replied.
Pique and Shakira have two children together, Milan, 10, and eight-year-old Sasha.
The former couple confirmed in November 2022, they had signed a child custody agreement after a protracted negotiation that lasted more than 12 hours.
As part of the agreement the retired Barcelona defender will spend holiday time with his children.
"We have a responsibility, those of us who are parents must protect our children," he told the radio station.
"Each one makes their decisions. I don't feel like talking anymore. I just want my children to be well.
"I have always had a close relationship with my children. Nothing makes me happier than making my son happy.
"Each one makes the decisions that he believes are the best. I do things in a certain way, I try to do it in the best way. I am fine, happy."
Shakira has used her music to fire a series of poisoned darts at retired footballer Pique and his new girlfriend over the last few months.
Most recently the 46-year-old shared a clip of her singing along to SZA's hit song Kill Bill on Valentine's Day as she lip-synced the lyrics "I might kill my ex."
It comes as Adele delivered a stinging message to Gerard Pique after seeing his Shakira perform on The Tonight Show.
The Hello singer, speaking to fans during a show in Las Vegas, cackled as she said: "I saw her performance last night on Jimmy Fallon.
"Oh her ex-husband is in trouble."
The much-loved singer was expected to move to Miami in January but the plans were delayed due to her 91-year-old father's poor health.
