West Ham have banned a group of supporters involved in a viral video of a man snorting white powder off another man's bald head during a game at the London Stadium.

The footage, which appeared on social media earlier this week, shows a fan sprinkling an unknown white substance onto the head of someone sitting in the row in front of him, before another fan steps forward inhales the powder up his nose with a rolled-up £20 note.

Shouts of "whey", "go on, son" and "Irons" can be heard during the short clip, which has since been condemned by West Ham, who confirmed on Friday that they had launched an investigation into the matter.

"The Club is disgusted by the contents of the video and acted swiftly to identify the offenders", a club spokesman said.

"In line with our zero-tolerance approach, details of the offenders were immediately passed on to the police and all individuals had their Season Tickets suspended and are therefore unable to enter London Stadium and travel with the Club for away fixtures.

"Pending our own club investigation, this could lead to the offenders being banned indefinitely. There is no place for this kind of behaviour."

West Ham returned to action last night with a comfortable 2-0 win over AEK Larnaca in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night. Michail Antonio scored both of Hammers' goals just before half-time as the east Londoners all but booked their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Attention will now turn back to the Premier League for David Moyes and co., with a crucial clash at home to Aston Villa at the London Stadium next up on Sunday afternoon.
