Jude Bellingham's dad held a transfer meeting before the match against Chelsea
Jude Bellingham's dad reportedly held a transfer meeting in London on the same day as the game against Chelsea.
The teenage midfielder was part of the Borussia Dortmund side to line up against the Blues at Stamford Bridge in their Champions League round of 16 second leg on Tuesday night. Earlier in the day, though, Bellingham's dad is understood to have met with Real Madrid's head of recruitment Juni Calafat.
Foot Mercato report that Calafat presented Los Blancos' project for Bellingham during a meeting at the Chelsea Harbour hotel in London ahead of the match in the evening.
The meeting comes as the England international continues to be linked with a summer move to the Spanish capital as he edges closer to an exit from Dortmund.
Premier League clubs are also reportedly interested in signing the 19-year-old, with Liverpool most often tipped as a potential suitor.
However, the Santiago Bernabeu is now emerging as the most likely destination for Bellingham as Carlo Ancelotti looks to bolster his midfield ahead of next season.
Both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are currently expected to leave the club at the end of the campaign, with the former hinting at retirement.
Some reports have suggested that Los Blancos would be unable to meet Dortmund's asking price for Bellingham, though, due to their committed spending to the deal bringing Brazilian wonderkid Endrick to the club.
Instead, Real Madrid are said to be planning a player plus cash package for Bellingham which would see Eduardo Camavinga head to Germany.
Bellingham has developed into a key man for Dortmund since signing from Birmingham City in 2020 and has even captained the Bundesliga giants multiple times this term despite still being a teenager.
Despite the transfer speculation, Dortmund are in no rush to sell, with Bellingham's contract not set to expire until the summer of 2025. Although he has appeared reluctant to sign a new deal with the club.
With 16 goal contributions this season, either side of starring for England at the World Cup, Dortmund fans will be hoping they can keep hold of Bellingham beyond the summer transfer window.
