Newcastle cup stand-in Loris Karius had Pornhub legend Mia Khalifa salivating over him

Loris Karius did not have too many fans after his nightmare performance for Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final, but Pornhub legend Mia Khalifa was one person who loved the German

Many men would remember the day Mia Khalifa salivated over them on social media.

Unfortunately, this was an occasion Newcastle United goalkeeper Loris Karius is trying to forget. The German goalkeeper looks set to play his first competitive match in almost two years, when Eddie Howe’s side face Manchester United in the League Cup Final.

Karius has found himself on the fringes of Besiktas, Union Berlin and Newcastle ever since his nightmare performance against Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League final, which saw him throw two horrendous clangers to gift the final to the Spanish giants. However, there was one positive from that terrible evening which ended in tears - the affection and admiration of Mia Khalifa.

Before the final in Kyiv, Ukraine, Karius uploaded an Instagram post with the caption “eyes on the prize”. He was probably not expecting the pornhub star to flutter her eyes at him in the comments section. She wrote, “is he the prize? Because…,” along with a tripartite of flirty ‘eye’ emojis. Many men of a certain age would have passed out if they saw that message on their social media post.

Almost five years later, Karius has an opportunity for redemption at Wembley Stadium. The Magpies have not won a major trophy since 1955 and face a purring Manchester United side who recently knocked Barcelona out of the Europa League.

The former German international will likely be given the nod to fill the boots of usual No.1 shot-stopper Nick Pope, who misses the final due to suspension, after he handled the ball outside of his area in the Toon’s 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool.

Mia Khalifa's adulation was an unlikely consolation from an awful evening for Karius

“It would be a magnificent chance for him to rewrite the story of his career,” Howe said of Karius at Newcastle’s League Cup final media day on Tuesday. “There’s been loads of stories through the times in football where these things have happened and there’s been a really positive outcome or not. We can’t predict what that will be.

“As soon as it happened it was almost that feeling that there’s another story in Karius’ career – another page or chapter to write and who knows what that chapter will look like?

“That’s the beauty of football. We never know what is going to happen. This unpredictability is what makes it such an amazing thing to watch.” If Khalifa has even remotely kept up to date with Newcastle’s season, it is very likely she also will be tuning in to watch her favourite goalkeeper.
