How Shakira was branded 'The Boss' by Gerard Pique's pals – who have now welcomed in 'calm' girlfriend Clara Chia

EX-BARCELONA defender Gerard Pique's new girlfriend has managed to win over his football pals, accomplishing something his ex was never able to do.

Shakira allegedly never hit it off with Gerard's friends, who gave her an odd nickname due to her "bad character".

The ex-footballer's pals reportedly nicknamed Shakira "La Patron", or "The Boss" due to her unfriendly nature towards the group.

Spanish television show Ya es Mediodia reported that the Gerard's new girlfriend, 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti fits in with her boyfriend and his pals much easier than Shakira did.

They said: "Shakira never mixed with Pique's lifelong friends, nor with the wives of other footballers."

According to the show, the Colombian superstar also did not get along with much of Gerard's family.

Ya es Mediodia said Gerard's new beau Clara's "calmer character" has been well received among his friends.

The public relations student keeps to herself, and the couple have only recently gone Instagram official.

Shakira's diss track to Gerard and Clara has reportedly made life hard for her "replacement".

Clara Chia has reportedly been staying with her parents to escape the prying eyes of the media.

Recently, rapper Sansixto released a track supporting Gerard and Clara, in response to Shakira's infamous diss track "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53".

In Shakira's song, she sings: "I'm worth two 22's. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, you traded a Rolex for a Casio."

Wearing a Pique shirt, Sansixto rapped in defence of Pique and his new girlfriend.

He raps: "Come on, face it if she pays the tax office, she's left with nothing."

Shakira and Pique's bitter split after 12 years has been in the spotlight for weeks following the release of the pop star's diss track.

The Colombian singer put a creepy life-size witch mannequin on her balcony in Barcelona that overlooks her former mother-in-law's home.

The star is said to have refused to take it down after Pique's mum Montserrat Bernabéu stormed over to the house and told one of her employees to turn it around.

Shakira has also allegedly forbidden her sons Sasha, seven, and Milan, ten, to call her grandma due to her support of her son's new lover.
