Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United after an interview with Pires Morgan that saw him hit out at the club, Erik ten Hag and more.
After leaving Manchester United, it was expected Ronaldo would go on to join a side with Champions League football so he could protect his record from Lionel Messi.
However, it appears no club left in the last-16 of the competition either wanted or could afford him.
Ronaldo conceded defeat in his quest to continue playing high-level football by signing a two-and-a-half year contract with Al Nassr, the only club to make an offer for Ronaldo in the summer.
Now, it has been reported that Manchester United are set to enforce a ‘Ronaldo rule’ which will stop new signings from earning more than £200,000 per week in wages.
According to the Daily Mail , a de-facto salary cap of £200,000 per week is set to be enforced at Old Trafford, in an attempt to bring harmony to the squad.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2021 before leaving in November last year, was the highest-earning player in the squad with a salary of £385,000 per week.
