Jude Bellingham was left stranded at the airport

England's superstar Jude Bellingham was left waiting for mum at the airport after he forgot his passport on Saturday.

Bellingham had been due to fly out to Marbella for a warm-weather training camp with his Borussia Dortmund teammates. The Bundesliga has an extended winter break, and it won't return until 20 January - with Dortmund set to face Augsburg.

However, there was a problem for Bellingham when he reached Dortmund Airport and realised he had forgotten his passport. Luckily for the 19-year-old, mum, Denise was on hand to drive over and drop off his passport so he could join his teammates.

Bellingham is Europe's hottest commodity after he impressed for England at the World Cup.

The youngster notched for England against Iran in the group stage - and he provided an assist against Senegal in the knockouts. It's performances like that, that have prompted Mats Hummels to call him: "The most mature 18-year-old player I’ve ever seen."

And Bellingham's exploits on the international stage as well as at Dortmund have prompted Europe's elite to start sniffing around a transfer.

Manchester City, Liverpool, and Real Madrid have all been linked with a move for the 19-year-old, but Dortmund could command a huge fee for the midfielder.

Dortmund won't stand in his way if he wants to leave, but without a release clause, they are in the driving seat.
