Former Premier League star arrested for alleged drug and dangerous driving incident

A former Premier League player has been arrested for drug possession and dangerous driving after a police chase in Dublin.

The ex-Irish footballer was pursued by garda last night (January 5) in the Crumlin area of the capital. He was stopped and subsequently arrested.

A quantity of suspected cocaine was discovered in the vehicle which was estimated to be worth €4,500 (£3,970), according to The Irish Mirror.

The man was detained in Crumlin Garda Station before being released on Friday morning, with a file submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
