Tottenham eye move for Harvey Barnes
Tottenham Hotspur could launch a surprise move for Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes, reports Football London.
The England international has recorded six goals so far this campaign, and it is thought that Spurs' sporting director Fabio Paratici is a huge fan of the player and could look to sign him in January.
Barnes could come in to directly replace Brazilian Lucas Moura, who is yet to open his account in the Premier League in 2022-23 and edges ever closer to a move away from the club.
Man City set sights on Wolves' Ait-Nouri
As per Calciomercatoweb, Manchester City are monitoring the progress of Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The 21-year-old was on target in the Wanderers' return to Premier League action on Boxing Day, scoring a 95th-minute winner in his side's 2-1 win over Everton.
Pep Guardiola is thought to be an admirer of Ait-Nouri and could turn to the Frenchman to solve his long-term issues at left-back.
Alexis Vega rejects move to Europe
Ahead of the 2023 Clausura in the Liga MX, Chivas de Guadalajara's Alexis Vega has revealed that he will be staying at the club and will turn down any offers from European clubs, as he did in the summer.
“There are cases where sometimes we rush just to fulfill the dream of playing in Europe and in six months or a year you are back," Vega said to TUDN (via 90min). "One team we had talks with wanted to take me to Europe, where I would play there for six months [at the highest level] and if it didn't go well, return on loan to another Liga MX team.
“I don't see the point in going to play for six months, the time it takes to adapt to the pressure and for you to adapt in the best way. Due to those situations, you make the decision to rush the process. Now I am focused on Chivas. I am super happy to stay here with my family for a long time."
Newcastle table offer for Ferland Mendy (Footmercato)
Newcastle United are reportedly plotting a January swoop for Real Madrid full-back Ferland Mendy and have already tabled a lucrative offer to secure his services, according to Footmercarto.
The 27-year-old was tipped by many to be the heir to Marcelo as Los Blanco's permanent left-back, and he has progressed well under Carlo Ancelotti.
However, it is thought that the right offer could tempt the Frenchman away from the Spanish capital, who was unfortunate not to feature at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
