Pele's daughter has offered an emotional update on his condition as he battles a respiratory infection during his cancer fight in a Sao Paulo hospital.
The three-time World Cup winning Brazil icon, 82, was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in late November and it was recently explained that his condition had deteriorated.
Pele, full name Edson Arantes do Nascimento, is being kept company by daughter Kely Nascimento, who wrote: "Here we go, in the fight and in faith. One more night together."

Another person was also in the room on a sofa bed, with Pele having lots of support during his stay in one of Brazil's leading hospitals.
An update on Pele's health earlier in the week explained that his colon cancer has worked with the icon confirmed to stay in hospital over the Christmas period.

A statement from the The Albert Einstein Hospital read: "Admitted since November 29 for a reassessment of chemotherapy therapy for colon tumor and treatment of a respiratory infection, Edson Arantes do Nascimento presents progression of the oncological disease and requires greater care related to renal and cardiac dysfunctions.
"The patient remains hospitalised in a common room, under the necessary care of the medical team."

Pele has been battling the cancer since September 2021 and been in and out of medical facilities for both scheduled appointments and other care.
Kely said at the time: "Your love for him, your stories and your prayers are a HUGE comfort because we know we are not alone."
Pele has at least seven children including Kely, as well as former Santos goalkeeper Edinho.

Having won the World Cup in each of 1958, 1962 and 1970, Pele scored a total of 77 goals across his 92 Brazil appearances and scored over 1,279 goals in 1,363 career games.
Despite being in hospital, Pele was a keen watcher of the World Cup and send brief messages to both winner Lionel Messi of Argentina and runner-up Kylian Mbappe of France in the aftermath.

"Today, football continues to tell its story, as always, in an enthralling way. Messi winning his first World Cup, as his trajectory deserved," Pele wrote.
He then added: "My dear friend, Mbappe, scoring four goals in a final. What a gift it was to watch this spectacle to the future of our sport."
