Emi Martinez celebrated his Golden Glove award by pretending to hump it in front of FIFA officials.

The Argentina goalkeeper was in a celebratory mood after not only being being handed the prize for the best shot stopper, but also winning the World Cup after making a crucial save in the penalty shootout victory against France.

And he couldn't contain his emotions, performing an X-rated gesture with his personal trophy despite being right in front of FIFA's hierarchy. Gianni Infantino and Co watched on with straight faces in the background.

Martinez was lauded by many online, with one viewer tweeting: "Emi Martinez pretending the Golden Glove was his d*** was better than the entire game."

Another posted: "MARTINEZ YOU LEGEND." And a third wrote: "Can't believe he actually did that." But some fans viewed it as a tasteless move.

Officials didn't look best impressed as they looked on

"Ruined his amazing World Cup. What a shame he’ll be remembered more for this over the ages," bemoaned one. A second simply labelled him: "Disrespectful."

One argued: "Great game, really stupid move." And another said: "He ruined the moment. What a shame."

Martinez played a crucial role in Argentina's dramatic victory. He first made arguably one of the greatest and most important saves of all-time in the 123rd minute to keep the score at 3-3.

And after saving Kingsley Coman's effort in the shootout, he produced some excellent s***housery by throwing the ball away before Aurelien Tchouameni's spot kick, which the young midfielder missed. Those moments ultimately won the World Cup for Argentina and crowned Lionel Messi's legendary career.
