BBC's Victoria Valentine floored by footballer's bulge as she says 'that's woken me up'

BBC Breakfast star Victoria Valentine was 'woken up' in an unusual way on Friday morning after seeing a photo of footballer Kylian Mbappé with a rather large bulge in his shorts

BBC Breakfast presenter Victoria Valentine voiced her shock over a photo of footballers Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi.

In the now viral snap, the 23-year-old Frenchman was consoling the Morocco player following their defeat to France in the World Cup on Wednesday (December 14).

But it seems the sweet embrace wasn't the only thing that caught people's attention as comments began flooding in about the forward's rather large bulge apparent in his shorts.

TV presenter Rick Edwards found himself in a playful mood as he reposted photo alongside the words: "Is that a consolation in your pocket, or are you pleased to see me?"

Stumbling across the tweet, Victoria then shared it on her profile and confessed the graphic snap woke her up.

"Goodness. Well, that’s woken me up. All your other news available with me and the team on @BBCOne @BBCNews and internationally on @BBCWorld," the news reader penned.

The photo attracted plenty of responses from fans who couldn't wait to get in on the joke.

"Well it was the semi’s," joked one user as another added: "and this was only a semi imagine how happy he’ll be in the final."

While others took the opportunity to comment on how great the presenter looked on screen as one wrote: "Pointing the way home for him Victoria......hope you're keeping well.. and warm also..looking amazing as always ..fab show this morning...have a lovely weekend.x."

"Morning Victoria wouldn't want him marking me at corner's you look lovely this morning [laughing emoji] nice polo neck lovely day to you," echoed someone else.

The BBC Breakfast fan favourite recently had fans worried after she found herself stuck in a snowdrift.

Sharing a video of her car flashing its hazard lights, the mum-of-two told the camera: “So I’m in Sussex. I’m stuck, along with everyone else.

"A friendly tractor has just turned up, and a lovely Romanian man from somewhere. I’m on a hill, and I am as you can see, far from the only person who is stuck."

Giving an update to fans shortly after, she shared a snap surrounded by three men in high-vis jackets and called them her "snow heroes."
