Rashford, possible Mbappe replacement, would earn 50 million euros per season

The World Cup might still be going on, but club teams have remained active behind the scenes ahead of the approaching winter transfer window.

Marcus Rashford is one player who will be able to sign a pre-contract in January and French champions Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring his situation closely.

With his current deal at Manchester United up at the end of the season, Rashford could leave for nothing in the summer.

When the market opens, he will be able to discuss terms with potential suitors to tie up his future in advance of a future move.

The England international has plenty of admirers and one of those could be preparing to make him a sensational offer.

According to the Mirror, PSG are ready to make the 25-year-old the fifth-highest paid player in the world.

Mega offer from PSG

The Parisian club are said to be willing to pay Rashford 50 million euros per year in a deal they see as putting contingencies in place for a potential Kylian Mbappe exit at the end of the current campaign.

PSG are big fans of the English forward, but president Nasser Al-Khelaifi knows they will face competition for his signature.

"[Rashford] is another really incredible player, and free. With the chance to get Rashford for free, lots of teams will be after him," commented Al-Khelaifi.

"Maybe in the summer, why not? But today, if he is a free agent, we can talk directly to him."
