Liverpool 'offer contract to Argentina World Cup star' with £103m release clause

Jurgen Klopp looks set to bolster his midfield as Liverpool 'offer a contract' to Argentina's World Cup star Enzo Fernandez.
Fernandez has shined for Argentina in Qatar, and his shop window performances have attracted interest from Europe's top suitors. And according to reports in the Argentine's homeland, Liverpool have a deal in place to land the youngster.
According to VarskySports, Liverpool have tabled a contract offer with Fernandez's agent, but there is still yet to be any contact with Benfica about a transfer. While La Capital goes further, suggesting there is a deal in place between the parties, with Liverpool 'agreeing a deal in principle' with the Portuguese side.
Fernandez only arrived in Europe over the summer, when he swapped River Plate for Benfica to the tune of £9million.
The youngster has appeared in all five of Argentina's World Cup fixtures, and he's played every moment of knockout football as the Albiceleste have charged into the semi-finals. The midfielder even found the net against Mexico in the group stages.
Fernandez is expected to play a role as Argentina square off with Croatia for a spot in the final on Tuesday evening.
The Reds are also interested in England standout Jude Bellingham, who has impressed in Qatar.
Bellingham is one of Europe's hottest properties with Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester City all believed to be interested in the Borussia Dortmund man. Bellingham was key to the Three Lions' win over Senegal in the round of 16.
However, he was hapless to help the Three Lions claim the scalp of France on Saturday evening.
