The WAGs of Germany's flops have been blasted for choosing not to party during the tournament while partners of both the England and Wales teams drunk Qatar 'half-dry'

German media outlets have bizarrely turned their fury to the WAGs of their national team flops - questioning why they chose not to go out and party in Qatar during the World Cup.

In a strange twist after slamming their struggling team, who failed to reach the knockout stages for two tournaments in a row, WAGs have come in for criticism.

Strict drinking laws in the Middle East country have been relaxed with designated fan parks as well as the ability for some to drink in their own accommodations.

Having beaten Costa Rica but been knocked out thanks to Japan's win over Spain, German outlet Bild questioned: "What is actually wrong with our WAGs (wives and girlfriends)?"

Going on to say that while partners from both Wales and England 'drink Qatar half-dry' the German WAGs opted for less exciting breaks as their national side flopped.

With Wales WAGs pictured downing shots and dancing to music before their own group stage exits, English partners booked a huge mega yacht for a more than comfortable stay.

With Izabel Goulart, partner of Kevin Trapp, spotted cheering on during Germany fixtures, the wife of Niclas Fullkrug had been spotted in Qatar.

In addition, Ilkay Gundogan's pregnant wife Sara had also made the trip, as well as wife of Matthias Ginter, Christina and Lina Mayer, who is in a relationship with Joshua Kimmich.

Mario Gotze's glamorous wife Ann Kathrin might also be a target of the German media, having been snapped with Marc-Andre ter Stegen's girlfriend Daniela Jehle and Laura Winter girlfriend of Jonas Hofmann at the Japan game.

The Welsh WAGs looked to make the most of their time in Qatar before their premature exit from the tournament, with Chris Mepham's fiancee Jodie Francis among those doing shots.

Another clip from their accommodation showed a cartwheel gone wrong with it ending with a crash into a table.

In the England camp are Sasha Attwood, Jack Grealish's partner, as well as Jordan Pickford's wife Megan Davidson among others.
