Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag wants two attackers to replace released striker Cristiano Ronaldo in January.
The Sun says the first is Holland's Cody Gakpo, who has been on Ten Hag's radar since last season with PSV Eindhoven.
The versatile striker has two goals in as many games for his country.
And despite being predominantly a left winger, Gakpo is becoming increasingly accomplished as a No9.
He has made no secret of his desire to play at a higher level.
And a deal could be struck with PSV fairly quickly - for the right price
The second player on Ten Hag's list is Rafael Leao, who has become one of Serie A's top stars with AC Milan.
However, he is valued at over £100million by Milan.
And Leao is yet to get a proper run through the middle for either club or country.
It means Gakpo is the more likely of the two to join United in January.
