Transfer news and rumours LIVE: Pep Guardiola to consider Man City future during World Cup

Inter eyeing Vazquez and Thuram

Inter are hoping to strengthen their squad and want to sign Valencia's left-back Jesus Vazquez in January and Marcus Thuram in the summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia).

Vazquez has only played four times so far this season and will be allowed to leave on loan with an option to buy in the winter window.

Meanwhile, Thuram is out of contract at Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer and could arrive on a free transfer.

Kessie wanted by Premier League duo

Aston Villa and Fulham are both interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie, as reported by Sport.

Barcelona are open to possible winter exits due to the club's perilous financial position, although they only signed Kessie on a free in the summer.

Aston Villa are willing to offer €14 million for the Ivorian, but Fulham are planning a bid of €22m.

Pep Guardiola to consider future over World Cup

Man City boss Pep Guardiola will use the World Cup break to consider his future at the club, according to the Daily Mail.

Guardiola's contract expires at the end of the season and he is yet to decide whether to continue his career with the Premier League holders.

The manager is due to fly out to Abu Dhabi for meetings with City's top brass where he will inform them of his plans for the future.

Verratti to sign new PSG deal

PSG manager Christophe Galtier has confirmed that midfielder Marco Verratti is set to sign a new contract with the Ligue 1 champions.

"I'm told the club wants Marco Verratti to sign a new contract," he said. "It's true, and it's part of our plans. I think Marco is really happy here in Paris."

Chelsea give Potter full backing

Chelsea have given Graham Potter their "total backing" despite the new manager having overseen three straight Premier League defeats.

Some supporters are already losing patience with Potter but the Blues remain adamant he is the right man for the job, according to The Athletic.

Chelsea have already told Potter he has their full support, with the feeling at the club very much that Potter "has been hired for future seasons, not just this one."
