Ancelotti admits Real Madrid in form slump

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admits they're in a form slump.

Real meet Cadiz tomorrow night on the back of defeat at Rayo Vallecano.

Ancelotti said: "The last period has not been good, it disappoints us. The defeat against Leipzig did not affect us because we were first.

"This period has not been good, but the previous one has. Despite some absences that have cost us, like Karim (Benzema) I am not going to look for excuses. The first section of the campaign we did as we wanted, now it is a section that we want to leave behind.

"If you lose intensity against teams that don't play in Europe, like Rayo, they can be at a higher level than the rest. It's less noticeable when you play against teams that do play in Europe."
