Laura Woods got caught in a torrential downpour while on FA Cup down in Devon

Laura Woods got completely drenched while trying to report on Torquay's FA Cup clash with Derby on Sunday.

The talkSPORT regular was on presenter duty for ITV's coverage of the game down in south Devon and got a total soaking for her troubles after getting caught in a torrential downpour at Plainmoor.

Footage of her standing on the soggy turf trying to read notes off what was hopefully a water-proof iPad with rain lashing down on her and her colleagues made for uncomfortable viewing, though Woods admitted she "loved it".

Uploading the video to Twitter, Woods wrote: "Corrrr, Devon’s lovely this time of the year isn’t it," along with a 'woozy' face and a laughing emoji. "Despite the rain, what a day! Loved it. Well done to Torquay getting the replay."

Fortunately, her followers had plenty of sympathy for her, though one or two happily made fun of the situation.

"Sunniest place in England apparently," one tweeted, while another joked: "The very glamourous world of live television."

Torquay, who are rock bottom of the National League, managed to salvage a draw against League One side Derby, coming from 2-0 down to take the tie to a replay courtesy of a 95th-minute equaliser from striker Will Goodwin.

Derby, who last season were relegated from the Championship following a points deduction, took the lead mid-way through the first-half via William Osula, who then doubled the Rams' advantage just two minutes after the restart.

Derby defender Eiran Cashin was then sent off for hauling down Goodwin in the box, and the momentum completely shifted once Gulls skipper Asa Hall converted the resulting spot-kick. Then, with literally the last kick of the game, Torquay grabbed a well-deserved equaliser to earn a trip to Pride Park.

Probably worth the trip in the end wouldn't you say, Laura?
