ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC has slammed Kylian Mbappe and compared him to a child.
Mbappe, 23, has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons this season.
Reports of his unhappiness at Paris Saint-Germain have continuously been the chief narrative this season, with the underlying story of a rift between him and Neymar.
And all of this has come after the Frenchman turned down a move to Real Madrid in favour of becoming a far more important player in Paris.
However, PSG legend Ibrahimovic has blasted Mbappe's decision to stay at the club, but prefaced it by saying he was a "fantastic player."
He told Canal Plus: "He (Mbappe) made the right choice for Paris not for himself.
"Because he put himself in a situation where he is more important than the club. And the club gave him the keys for that.
"But you are never bigger than a club. But when a child becomes strong, he can easily earn money."
Regardless of off-field drama, Mbappe has once again been in stellar form this season.
He has 18 goals in as many games and has added five more assists in a lethal attacking unit typically alongside Neymar and Lionel Messi.
But Swede Ibrahimovic also questioned whether the people who surround Mbappe are the right people for his desired career.
He added: "So his parents become lawyers, agents, coaches.
"From one thing they become another. And that's the problem. That's when you lose your self-discipline and who you are.
A two-year stint in the MLS then followed before returning to AC Milan, where he registered 11 goal contributions to help Milan on the way to their first title in 10 years.
But in his absence, he believes Ligue 1 has lost its appeal.
"Today with this new generation, the parents, dad, mom who you want, they think they have become stars.
"They talk in the newspapers. But who do you think you are? Shut up. It is up to your son, the player, to work and have discipline."
Ibrahimovic, 41, left the Parisians in 2016 to link up with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, where he stayed for two years.
