Chelsea target Benjamin Pavard appears to be growing in frustration with how he's being treated at Bayern Munich.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer with reports suggesting he was open to the idea. An approach from the Blues ultimately never came, though.

He's been first-choice right-back since joining from Stuttgart for £31.5m in 2019, but Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann has relegated him to the bench in three of their last five matches. He scored after coming on against Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek, but Noussair Mazraoui was again preferred against Mainz on Saturday (October 29).

And it appears that decision hasn't gone down well with France international Pavard. He was the first player to leave the Allianz Arena after the match yesterday, having been brought on at half-time.

After sleeping on it, Pavard looked just as annoyed in training this morning. As per Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, he was again the first player to leave.

He was said to have had a "frustrating performance" and didn't make eye contact with the Bayern coaches as he walked off the pitch. Plettenberg added that there's currently no concrete talks about extending his current contract past 2024.

Pavard has been pushing to play as a centre-back, but Nagelsmann's options are plentiful in that position. It therefore seems he may have to leave to get his wish.

Graham Potter would certainly welcome defensive additions, especially come next summer when veteran Thiago Silva will likely be departing.
