Alexia Notto and Miguel Almiron have been married six years
Miguel Almiron is winning on and off the pitch in life after five goals in five Premier League appearances for Newcastle United in what is already his best season in this country.
That is because cheering him on in the stands at St James' Park is his gorgeous wife Alexia Notto, his childhood sweetheart who first got together since their early teens. After dating for several years, the couple wed in 2016 when Alexia was 19 whilst the Paraguay international was at Argentine outfit Lanus.
It was a busy year for the two with Almiron then jetting off to join MLS side Atlanta United just a month later in December but that has done little to stifle their affection. Now living in the north-east of England, they have started growing their family after the birth of their son last year.
Francesco Almiron Notto, born a Geordie, might grow up to follow in his father's footsteps and he is often spotted on his mother's social media pages cheering on dad Miguel. In fact, Alexia is an avid user of several social media pages - including TikTok and Instagram.
The 25-year-old has just shy of 250,000 followers on Instagram while her TikTok page has nearly a million likes. Prior to becoming a mum, she was a Zumba teacher while the stunning South American sports a sizzling physique.
Now she is more concentrated on her social media profiles becoming a huge hit across her various channels. And it is no surprise to see her profile grow as her husband's form skyrockets.
The 28-year-old has exploded into life for the Magpies, where he has five goals in his last five Premier League appearances. That includes winners against Tottenham and Everton last week alone.
His goals have propelled Eddie Howe's men into the top four - where talk has grown that they could land a spot in the Champions League this season.
Since the Saudi takeover, Newcastle are the richest club in the world - yet landing a spot in the top four would still represent some feat considering the competition.
After his winner against Everton, Howe responded to a question over whether Jack Grealish's jibe last season has helped Almiron find a new gear. The English coach replied: "I don't think Miggy is motivated by anything other than trying to be his best for Newcastle and for the supporters, who absolutely love him and rightly so.
"For me, he's given me everything from day one, very committed to the team. He's a real team player and he's getting the recognition that he deserves. You can't under-estimate the quality of the goals that he's delivered for us.
"I don't think I've noticed a difference in his character. He's been very consistent – that's a strength – he's been very happy every day, very pleased to be part of the team, has very close friends within the squad."
