Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola could barely believe his eyes when a reporter requested a selfie during his latest press conference.
Guardiola had just arrived to speak to the media ahead of City's Champions League clash with Copenhagen when one of those in attendance rushed forward to put their recorder on the table, and then asked for a picture.
The Spaniard even asked "Sorry?" before agreeing to the request. To make matters worse, the Dane struggled to take the snap on his iPhone, leaving Guardiola to stare straight-faced at him for an awkwardly-long time.
When the selfie was finally taken, he did crack a smile to make the reporter's day in classy fashion. The unusual moment divided the football community.
Some argued it was the wrong place and time, with one writing: "Should have his accreditation revoked immediately. Embarrassing."
But others felt the man in question was perfectly fine to shoot his shot. One commented: "This could be 1st time interviewing a world class manager? Not seeing the issue here."
Another argued: "Na he had one shot and he took it. Fair play. Well done Pep too. A moment of his day has made that fella's year." And one said: "Don't ask you don't get, least he asked him if it was ok & didn't shove the phone in his face."
On the pitch, Guardiola's side will be looking to qualify from Group G when they take on Copenhagen on Tuesday (October 11), with kick-off at 5.45pm UK time.
