Martial wants game time promise before agreeing Man Utd contract

Fabrizio Romano - speaking to Caught Offside - has said that Anthony Martial is considered an important player to Erik ten Hag and, for that reason, Manchester United want to agree a new deal with him.

Although, the Frenchman wants a promise of regular game time before signing along the dotted line and, at present, that is the defining factor behind the standstill in negotiations.

Juventus-linked Zaniolo close to new Roma contract

Roma are also doing everything they can to tie Nicolo Zaniolo down to a new deal. There has been plenty of interest in the Italian attacker in the last couple of transfer windows but he remains a Roma player.

Calciomercato are claiming that he is close to agreeing an extension to his contract. However, the new deal may include a release clause of between €50m and €60m.

Mourinho could be handed Roma extension until 2026

When Jose Mourinho arrived at Roma, many football supporters believed the end of his career was drawing closer. However, he has had something of a resurgence at the Stadio Olimpico.

After winning the inaugural Europa Conference League, he is worshipped in Rome and the hierarchy at the club want to tie him down to a new contract, as per La Repubblica. That new deal could see him stay with the Italian giants until 2026.

Everton interested in triggering permanent Coady signing

There was some surprise that Everton were able to prise Conor Coady away from Wolves in the summer given his status at Molineux. He has played a key role in the best defence in the Premier League so far.

Such has been the quality of his performances, the Toffees are already considering triggering the option-to-buy clause in the loan deal, according to The Times. The fee that Everton would have to pay is reportedly less than £10m.

Rice still top of Chelsea's wishlist

Declan Rice continues to be regularly linked with moves away from West Ham. Chelsea are a team often at the forefront of those rumours and that is still in the case, more than a month after the transfer window has closed.

90min have claimed that the 23-year-old remains at the top of the transfer priorities at Stamford Bridge. A price tag of over £120m was quoted by David Moyes during the summer but that is likely to decrease as the length of his contract shortens.
